Video On-Demand The use of Video-on-Demand (VOD) is becoming increasingly important as the care becomes more specialized and the post-procedure instructions are more detailed and patient specific. A video-on-demand system will allow a physician or specialist to record a procedure or client specific message or instructions for post procedure care. The virtue of a video-on-demand system allows the instructions to be documented, removes the ambiguity associated with personal communication and by being an “on-demand” service allows the patient to receive and view the information on their schedule. Technology Plus will determine the VOD system requirements, features and options important to St. Anthony Hospital personnel. Once the baseline criteria have been established, the available systems and options will be researched. The options with estimated costs will be provided to assist in determining the final operational requirements. The selected options and performance criteria will be the basis for an RFP to be issued to qualified vendors or manufacturers. Upon selection of the preferred system, Technology Plus will coordinate and oversee the system installation and testing. |
